El ayuntamiento del municipio de Maarn fue diseñado en 1925 en un estilo tradicional por J. Pothoven. A raíz de este diseño, cuatro años más tarde H.A. Pothoven construyó un ayuntamiento casi idéntico en Wolphaartsdijk (Municipio de Goes). En 1963 y 1979, el ayuntamiento fue ampliado con nuevos alas. Estas quedan fuera de la protección.
