La abadía Koningsoord es la única abadía de trapistas en los Países Bajos. La abadía se encuentra en el Johannahoeveweg en Arnhem.
Koningsoord es una fundación de la abadía trapista Koningshoeven, que fue establecida en 1881 cerca de Tilburg. Entre los familiares que visitaban a los monjes, había de vez en cuando también chicas que deseaban ingresar en la orden. El abad debía entonces remitirlas a la abadía ‘Notre Dame de la Paix’ en Chimay, ya que no existía ninguna abadía de trapistas en los Países Bajos. A lo largo de los años, alrededor de cincuenta chicas neerlandesas ingresaron. Ese número fue suficiente para fundar un monasterio en los Países Bajos.
