La Tricotfabriek es una antigua fábrica textil, actualmente en uso como complejo de apartamentos, y está ubicada en la calle Wilhelminastraat en Winterswijk. La Tricot fue fundada en 1888 por Geert Jan Willink, primo de Jan Willink, quien en ese entonces era director de la fábrica de tejidos a vapor de Batavier. Geert Jan Willink trabajó desde 1864 en la empresa de su tío. Jan Willink era un hombre próspero y en 1864 hizo construir una gran villa en la esquina de la calle Wilhelminastraat por el arquitecto Richter. Más tarde, esta villa recibiría el nombre de villa Tricot. Geert Jan Willink primero experimentó durante 2 años con el tejido a máquina usando máquinas de tricotaje en el establo de la villa de su tío. En ese tiempo ya se había comenzado la construcción de la Tricot, que abrió en 1890.
