En 1882, la parroquia de Schijf se separó de la de Rucphen y Klein-Zundert. Al igual que la iglesia madre, esta parroquia también estaba dedicada a San Martín. En el mismo año se completó una iglesia que fue diseñada por P.J. Soffers. Gracias a una donación, también se pudo construir un campanario, que sin embargo se derrumbó en 1914, durante una tormenta. Se decidió construir una nueva torre y también ampliar la iglesia. En 1915 se completó este trabajo y en 1922 se instaló un reloj de torre y una campana.
