En la parte norte de Fort aan de Buursteeg se encuentra el centro de visitantes de Grebbelinie que cuenta la historia de la extraordinaria historia de la Grebbelinie. También encontrarás aquí el Restaurante Grebbelounge donde puedes disfrutar de una deliciosa taza de café, almuerzo o cena en medio de la naturaleza. Desde el fuerte hay diversas rutas para bicicletas, senderismo y piragüismo para descubrir las huellas en el paisaje.
El Fort aan de Buursteeg es una de las obras defensivas más grandes e importantes de la Grebbelinie. Se construyó en 1786 en el lugar donde se cruzan Buursteeg y Slaperdijk. Debido al tamaño del fuerte, varias centenas de militares podían acampar dentro de las murallas de la fortaleza.
