La Essalammosquee es una gran mezquita en el barrio Feijenoord de Róterdam, cerca del estadio de fútbol De Kuip. La casa de oración es la mezquita más grande de los Países Bajos. La mezquita, por su tamaño, es muy determinante para el perfil del barrio. La cúpula mide 25 metros de altura y las minaretes miden 50 metros de altura.
La Essalammosquee original fue fundada en 1987, pero pronto resultó ser demasiado pequeña para la comunidad de 2500 personas. La construcción de una nueva casa de oración duró de 2003 a 2010 y estuvo acompañada de muchos problemas, lo que llevó a que la construcción se detuviera regularmente. Finalmente, la Essalammosquee fue inaugurada el 17 de diciembre de 2010. Un malentendido es que la mezquita sería la más grande de Europa. En Europa occidental hay mezquitas más grandes en Roma, París, Évry y Londres.
