El párroco Louis van Laer celebró en 1946 su jubileo de plata como sacerdote y recibió como regalo de sus feligreses una imagen del Sagrado Corazón. La escultura de arenisca fue realizada por Peter Roovers.
La figura representa a Cristo de pie, vestido con una túnica drapeada. Tiene ambos brazos a los lados del cuerpo y muestra en sus manos los estigmas. En su pecho es visible el Sagrado Corazón. A sus pies se pueden ver cabezas de ángeles o piedras de niño.
