El molino fue construido en 1898 por encargo de algunos panaderos y agricultores en Peize. En 1967, el molino fue adquirido por el entonces municipio de Peize. Se realizó una restauración en 1971 y '72. En esta ocasión, la cubierta de madera en la parte superior fue reemplazada por caña. También desapareció el autoconmutador y el molino recibió velas. Sin embargo, en una restauración posterior, el autoconmutador regresó. Las aspas tienen una longitud de aproximadamente 21,5 metros. El molino está equipado con dos pares de piedras de molino y un mecanismo de piñones. Actualmente, el molino es operado por algunos molineros voluntarios dos veces por semana.
