La iglesia de Schin op Geul fue construida ya en el siglo XI, el cuerpo de la iglesia data de esa época. Es una de las iglesias más antiguas de Limburgo.
En los muchos siglos siguientes, la iglesia fue ampliada y modificada en varias ocasiones (la última vez en 1927) hasta el actual edificio de piedra de margas y Kunrader.
Son especialmente notables las nueve cruces funerarias de los siglos XVII y XVIII y la lápida de la familia De Villers de Pité, antiguos propietarios del Castillo Oost.
