La Biblioteca Universitaria de Utrecht es la biblioteca para la provisión de información científica de la Universidad de Utrecht. La biblioteca tiene ubicaciones tanto en el centro de Utrecht como en Uithof, y bibliotecas más pequeñas en las facultades. La colección de la Biblioteca Universitaria se compone de unas 40 colecciones para apoyar a las siete facultades de la Universidad de Utrecht. Entre ellas se encuentran las Colecciones Especiales con manuscritos, libros anteriores a 1901, libros raros o valiosos y mapas.
En 1636 se fundó la Universidad de Utrecht. Sin embargo, la Biblioteca Municipal de Utrecht, que también es biblioteca universitaria, se inició en 1584. Esta biblioteca estaba en el coro de la iglesia Janskerk en Janskerkhof. A finales de 1640, Cornelis Booth fue nombrado como el primer bibliotecario de la Biblioteca Universitaria.
