El Schuitwater es un área natural de 313 hectáreas en el norte de Limburg. Se encuentra entre las localidades de Swolgen, Broekhuizenvorst y Broekhuizen, y al oeste de Lottum. Pertenece al municipio de Horst aan de Maas. El Schuitwater es gestionado por Staatsbosbeheer.
El nombre del área se podría derivar de "beschutten", que se refiere a proteger el ganado. Sin embargo, también podría aludir a las planas "schuiten" utilizadas para el transporte de turba dragada.
