Il Schuitwater è un'area naturale di 313 ha nel Nord Limburg. Si trova tra i luoghi di Swolgen, Broekhuizenvorst e Broekhuizen e a ovest di Lottum. Appartiene al comune di Horst aan de Maas. Il Schuitwater è gestito da Staatsbosbeheer.
Il nome dell'area deriverebbe da "beschutten", e precisamente dal proteggere il bestiame. Tuttavia, può anche riferirsi alle chiatte piatte utilizzate per il trasporto di torba dragata.
