Los Jardines de Ton ter Linden se refieren al jardín original en Ruinen del pintor Ton ter Linden. En este jardín, Ter Linden llevó a cabo desde 1971 hasta 2000 sus ideas sobre jardinería y el trato con las plantas que lo convirtieron en uno de los cuatro protagonistas de la Dutch Wave. Desde aproximadamente 1976 hasta el final, el jardín estuvo abierto al público, en su mejor momento atraía anualmente a unos 19,000 visitantes. En 2000, Ter Linden dejó su jardín en Ruinen y se mudó a Limburg.
