La isla Bloemendaal es una isla relativamente grande e inhabitada en el Zaan. Geográficamente, desde la reorganización municipal de la región de Waterland en 1990, forma parte del municipio de Zaanstad. La isla solo se puede alcanzar en barco.
La isla ya se menciona hace varios cientos de años en mapas locales. Fue comprada por el municipio de Wormerveer en 1930 para establecer un vertedero. Ha estado en uso hasta 1970, después de lo cual fue abandonada y se ha vuelto salvaje.
