En 1841 se fundó una parroquia y se construyó una iglesia. Desde 1885, San Willebrord es un lugar de peregrinación; ese año se construyó una gruta de Lourdes. En 1925 se construyó una nueva iglesia. El diseño original del párroco Bastiaansen, una representación de las basílicas de Lourdes, fue elaborado por el arquitecto Jacques van Groenendael. Frente a la iglesia hay un parque de procesiones.
