Donde antes estaba el Castillo de Etzenrade, ahora encuentras una hermosa área donde la historia, la arqueología, la naturaleza y el paisaje, el agua, la educación y el ocio se han reunido de una manera especial.
Del castillo queda poco, pero los fosos se pudieron reconstruir bien a través de investigaciones arqueológicas. Estos fueron excavados en 2019 y ahora sirven como un embalse de agua.
Los fosos rodean dos islas. En la isla trasera se encuentra un jardín arqueológico. La isla delante de esta es el lugar histórico del castillo destruido. Aquí hay ahora una puerta de acero corten que conecta la Casa de Etzenrade y la pequeña isla con el jardín arqueológico.
