El Camp IJbenheer es un antiguo campo de trabajo judío. Después de la guerra, el campo tuvo diferentes funciones. Finalmente, aquí se alojaron temporalmente los ex soldados del KNIL y sus familias. Eso fue entre 1951 y 1960. Después, el campo cayó en desuso y fue en su mayor parte demolido.
Debido a su gran valor histórico, Natuurmonumenten y la aldea de Fochteloo han vuelto a trazar los contornos del campo y del cuartel. Actualmente hay un sendero, un monumento y varias placas informativas que mantienen viva la historia de esta zona.
