Esta ruta pasa por los 17 pilares con información histórica que forman parte del proyecto La Canon de Enkhuizen. Este proyecto ha sido llevado a cabo por la Fundación Crónica de Enkhuizen en colaboración con el municipio de Enkhuizen. En cada pilar se abordan temas sobre la historia de Enkhuizen, comenzando en 1572. Este es el año en que Enkhuizen se liberó del yugo español como la primera ciudad en los Países Bajos del Norte y eligió al Príncipe de Orange.
