Hemos llegado a la ‘pièce de résistance’: el Toneelschuur. En 1996, Swarte recibió el encargo de diseñar ‘una nueva casa’ para la Schuur, el centro cultural de Haarlem. El resultado es un edificio lleno de referencias al trabajo de Swarte. Característico es la fachada de vidrio inclinada, que forma una separación entre el edificio y la ciudad, pero también invita a la conexión. Dentro de la Schuur también se puede ver todo tipo de cosas de Swarte, desde los letreros hasta el baño y las letras de neón en la taquilla.
