El Aa of Goorloop es el nombre del tramo superior del Groote Beerze. Nace en el área natural Riebos en Lommel a una altitud de aproximadamente 45 m y fluye desde allí hacia el norte.
El río llega a los Países Bajos en el municipio de Bergeijk, para fluir a través de un área de extracción hacia la Boswachterij De Kempen. Aquí el río nuevamente toca la frontera, en 't Jachthuis, pero ahora permanece en los Países Bajos. Más adelante, forma un área de pantano dentro de la reserva forestal, que es una reserva natural dentro del bosque.
Al norte de la autopista A67, el río sale del bosque y atraviesa la propiedad Ten Vorsel, donde solía estar el molino de Vorselse en el río. Al llegar a Hapert, el Dalemstroompje se une al Aa of Goorloop, después de lo cual ambos riachuelos continúan su curso como Groote Beerze.
