El acueducto románico es el segundo más largo del país .
La versión española de la revista National Geographic lo consideró el tercer acueducto más bello del mundo . Fue diseñado en 1626 para abastecer de agua al Monasterio de Santa Clara y se terminó de construir en 1714. Se dice que originalmente tenía 999 arcos y una longitud de unos 7 kilómetros.
