El Giulio Cesare fue un acorazado italiano de la clase Conte di Cavour que sirvió en la Regia Marina en ambas guerras mundiales para unirse después a la armada soviética con el nombre de Novorossiysk. Su quilla fue puesta en las gradas de Ansaldo en Génova el 24 de junio de 1910. Fue botado el 15 de octubre de 1911, y su construcción fue completada el 14 de mayo de 1914.
El Giulio Cesare no participó en ninguna misión de combate, debido a la política de pasividad adoptada por las Marinas italiana y austro-húngara.
