Axams est une commune du district d'Innsbruck-Land en Tyrol avec 6193 habitants. La commune est située dans le district judiciaire d'Innsbruck. La commune se trouve dans les montagnes médiques occidentales, à environ 10 km au sud-ouest d'Innsbruck et à environ 300 m au-dessus du fond de la vallée de la vallée de l'Inn. Au sud du village principal se trouvent l'Axamer Lizum et les Kalkkögel, qui font également partie du territoire communal. À l'ouest, le Sendersbach coule et à l'est, le Ruifachbach passe près d'Axams. Le ruisseau Axamer traverse Axams lui-même.
