En décembre 2014, ce pont était le plus long pont piéton du monde. Il mesure pas moins de 406 mètres de long. Le Highline179 est de type 'Tibetan Style'. Ce type de ponts est largement utilisé dans l'Himalaya. Vous marcherez à 114 mètres au-dessus du fond de la vallée à Reutte, au nord de l'Autriche. Il relie des structures de défense historiquement importantes des ruines d'Ehrenberg et du Fort Claudia. Le pont piéton mesure 1,2 mètre de large et est ouvert même en hiver de 08h00 à 22h00. Le nom vient de l'autoroute 179 qui passe sous le pont.
