En diciembre de 2014, este puente era el puente peatonal más largo del mundo. No mide menos de 406 metros de largo. El Highline179 es del tipo 'Estilo Tibetano'. Este tipo de puentes se utiliza ampliamente en el Himalaya. Caminarás a 114 metros sobre el fondo del valle en Reutte, al norte de Austria. Conecta estructuras defensivas históricamente importantes de la ruina Ehrenberg y el Fuerte Claudia. El puente peatonal tiene 1,2 metros de ancho y está abierto incluso en invierno de 08:00 a 22:00. El nombre proviene de la carretera 179 que pasa por debajo del puente.
