Im Dezember 2014 war diese Brücke die längste Fußgängerbrücke der Welt. Sie ist nicht weniger als 406 Meter lang. Die Highline179 ist vom Typ „Tibetischer Stil“. Diese Art von Brücken wird häufig im Himalaya verwendet. Sie gehen 114 Meter über dem Grund des Tals in Reutte im Norden Österreichs. Sie verbindet historisch wichtige Verteidigungsstrukturen der Ruine Ehrenberg und Fort Claudia. Die Fußgängerbrücke ist 1,2 Meter breit und sogar im Winter von 08:00 bis 22:00 Uhr geöffnet. Der Name stammt von der Autobahn 179, die unter der Brücke verläuft.
