Cet ancien atelier restauré comprend : une salle consacrée à la géologie régionale et un espace illustrant les aspects économiques, historiques et sociaux de l'exploitation du *Coticule dans la région.
Le * Coticule est une roche de la région, unique au monde, qui se présente en fines veines d'épaisseur variable (2 à 4 cm) disposées en couche entre les phyllades violets. Il est composé de grains très finsde grenats liés par un ciment argileux. Sa teinte beige provient de la couleur du minerai. Le coticule fut exploité comme pierre à aiguiser et exporté aux quatre coins du monde.
