Jusqu’en 2019, vous pouviez régulièrement voir l’artiste Panamarenko et son épouse Eveline Hoorens se promener dans les environs de Sint-Maria-Oudenhove. Dans ce beau village, ils ont vécu ensemble pendant des années. Panamarenko est décédé ici le 14/12/2019. Dans une chronique lue à haute voix par sa veuve Eveline Hoorens, elle lui rend hommage. Elle a également mentionné que la chanson amusante " Shame and Scandal in the Family " de Shwan Elliott était leur chanson préférée qu’ils jouaient quand ils marchaient ensemble dans cette belle région.
