D'autres curiosités sur le Markt sont les statues du barbier Olivier le Diable (1434-1484), qui paya sa carrière à la cour française sur la potence, et de Tanneken Sconyncx, la sorcière morte sous la torture en 1603. Elle symbolise la rédemption pour toutes les innocentes victimes accusées de sorcellerie. Les deux œuvres ont été réalisées par l'artiste né à Tielt Jef Claerhout.
