Le centre de visiteurs Doornpanne est à un jet de pierre de Coxyde. Il abrite une exposition permanente sur le captage d'eau dans les dunes et la richesse de la faune et de la flore de cette réserve naturelle de 240 hectares. On ne trouve nulle part en Flandre occidentale autant de types de dunes. Le plus beau panorama se dévoile du haut de la Hoge Blekker, la plus haute dune de la Côte qui culmine à 33 mètres.
