Le Château d'Ingelmunster avec son domaine se situe à Ingelmunster, à l'angle de la Rue des Stations et de la Place du Marché. Le château classique actuel d'Ingelmunster est construit sur les fondations d'un ancien fort. La famille Van Honsebrouck en est propriétaire. Ingelmunster serait nommé d'après le fait que Saint-Amand aurait fondé un monastère au 7ème siècle. Robrecht I le Frison, comte de Flandre, fit construire un fort vers 1075 près de la Mandel. Les ruines du monastère furent largement utilisées. La situation stratégique du fort près de la Mandel et sur la route de liaison Courtrai-Bruges joua un grand rôle dans le choix de l'emplacement du château. Tellement important qu'il fut parfois appelé la 'clé de la Flandre'.
