Fumal est un village sur les rives de la rivière Mehaigne, et est pris en sandwich entre les forêts à flanc de colline.
Dans le village il y a un château et l’église Saint Martin. L’ancienne gare de Fumal n’est plus là : la ligne de chemin de fer a été transformée en piste cyclable.
