Au milieu du 19ème siècle, Izegem a acquis ses lettres de noblesse grâce à la fabrication de brosses. Aujourd'hui, l'industrie de la brosse a fortement décliné, mais au musée, vous pourrez suivre de très près toutes les étapes des techniques de fabrication des brosses. Une visite guidée vous fera découvrir comment on fabriquait les brosses à la main. Vous découvrirez également pourquoi les habitants d'Izegem sont surnommés les "pekkers", "les poisseux"!
