De Koninklijke Gaanderijen werden in 1905 voltooid. Ze zijn ongeveer 400m lang en dienden om de gegoede burgers tijdens hun wandeling tegen zon en regen te beschermen. Ze verbonden het koninklijk chalet met de Wellingtonrenbaan. Tegen de Gaanderijen werd begin de jaren dertig het Thermenpaleis gebouwd. Vandaag is het een 4-sterrenhotel dat nog steeds Belle Epoque-sfeer ademt.
