La partie du paysage sur le territoire d'Anvers est plus fragmentée que celle aux Pays-Bas. À côté du noyau historique de Zandvliet se trouve un domaine remarquable. Le fabricant de voiles anversois Kums y fit construire un château au 19ème siècle, avec un domaine attenant. Le Hof van Kums est un bâtiment éclectique avec des dômes en verre et des tours. Pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, la tour fut réduite par les Allemands et un bunker en béton armé y fut érigé.
