El trozo del paisaje en territorio antwerpenés es más fragmentado que el trozo en los Países Bajos. Junto al núcleo histórico de Zandvliet se encuentra una impresionante finca. El fabricante de velas antwerpense Kums mandó construir aquí un castillo con su correspondiente finca en el siglo XIX. El Hof van Kums es un edificio ecléctico con cúpulas de vidrio y torres. Durante la Primera Guerra Mundial, los alemanes redujeron la torre y se construyó un búnker de hormigón armado.
