À l’instar du lac de Bütgenbach, le barrage de Robertville retient lui aussi l’eau de la Warche. Sa création remonte à un décret ministériel de 1924. Outre la production d’électricité, il sert principalement de réserve d’eau potable pour la ville de Malmedy.
Au sud du centre de Robertville, une grande pelouse avec possibilité de baignade a été créée sur un promontoire. Une société de location de bateaux est également installée à côté du barrage. À seulement 800 m en surplomb du barrage se trouve le château médiéval de Reinhardstein, qui se visite à horaires fixes le week-end, les jours fériés et pendant les congés scolaires.
