Aimez-vous l'architecture ? Alors, la maison de district de Deurne est un incontournable. Cette réalisation moderniste de 1964 a été conçue par Eduard Van Steenbergen, architecte du quartier Unitas et du Koninklijk Atheneum. Après son décès, son fils Edward a pris en charge la finition. Le bâtiment combine une aile administrative et une aile représentative autour d'une tour centrale de 39 mètres. L'intérieur des années soixante est bien conservé. Devant le bâtiment se trouve l'œuvre d'art ‘Opwaarts’ de Jozef Kets, symbole de la croissance et de l'ambition de Deurne. Petite information : dans la première pierre se trouve une capsule temporelle de 1964, contenant un livre et des pièces de monnaie.
