La Baraque Michel se trouve au coeur même des Hautes Fagnes, et elle offre en hiver lors d'un bon enneigement, des possibilités pour le ski de fond et pour des balades en raquettes de neige. Les randonneurs viennent aussi en profiter pour des promenades sur des sentiers prévus pour eux. Grâce à son altitude (674m), cette station est une des meilleures adresses en Belgique en hiver.
