La Fagne de la Poleûr est essentiellement constituée de milieux tourbeux : bas-marais, tourbières de pente, tourbière haute dégradée, lande tourbeuse à molinie. En périphérie, subsistent quelques fragments de nardaie et de lande sèche.
Accès du public: Accès du public autorisé sur les pistes même si le fanion rouge est levé (danger d'incendie). Panneaux didactiques sur le terrain, dépliant et livret guide disponibles au Centre Nature de Botrange, au bureau d'information de la D.N.F. à Botrange, à la Station scientifique des Hautes-Fagnes et à la boutique nature des R.N.O.B (Maison Liégeoise de l'Environnement).
