Le Sinkfal était un cours d'eau qui existait au Haut Moyen Âge. Une voie d'eau qui trace aujourd'hui la frontière entre la Belgique et les Pays-Bas près du Zwin, à l'est de Cadzand en est le dernier vestige. On a longtemps confondu le Sinkfal avec le Zwin. La Lex Frisionum précise que la Frise se situait entre le Sinkfal et la Weser.
