En rive gauche et en surplomb de la Semois, cette ancienne ardoisière s'ouvre par deux accès en bordure d'un chemin forestier. Le réseau souterrain de Laplet se compose d' :- une entrée amont constituée d'une galerie principale relativement horizontale par où était évacuée l'ardoise à l'aide d'un petit train et différentes galeries latérales ;- une entrée aval constituée d'une galerie principale horizontale bifurquant presqu'à angle droit après 40 mètres (site internet CSIS de la DGRNE).
Accès du public: Site privé.L'accès aux galeries est interdit. Des visites sont effectuées pour les comptages annuels de l'IRSNB
