Sulla riva sinistra e a strapiombo sulla Semois, questa antica miniera di ardesia si apre tramite due accessi ai margini di un sentiero forestale. La rete sotterranea di Laplet è composta da: - un ingresso a monte costituito da una galleria principale relativamente orizzontale attraverso la quale veniva evacuata l'ardesia con l'aiuto di un piccolo trenino e diverse gallerie laterali; - un ingresso a valle costituito da una galleria principale orizzontale che si biforca quasi a angolo retto dopo 40 metri (sito internet CSIS della DGRNE).
