Putte est un village frontalier du Kempen, qui se situe en partie dans la commune néerlandaise de Woensdrecht, et en partie dans les communes belges de Stabroek et de Kapellen. Le village se trouve donc dans deux pays et trois communes. La partie woensdrechtienne de Putte compte 3 785 habitants. Jusqu'au 1er janvier 1997, Putte était une commune indépendante, après cette date, elle a été intégrée à la commune de Woensdrecht.
