La Senne est une rivière de plaine à courant lent qui prend sa source à Naast sur la commune de Soignies, et qui se jette dans la Dyle au lieu-dit du Zennegat près de Malines, après 103km. Elle est la seule rivière de Belgique à passer par les 3 régions ! En Région bruxelloise, elle s’écoule à l’air libre sur 5km et est voûtée sur 9km. Deux projets de réouverture devraient lui permettre de retrouver l’air libre sur plus d’1km, à Bruxelles-ville et à Haren.
