Il s'agit de la cinquième scène des oeuvres de Joseph Gillain, dit Jijé , sur l'avenue de la Chapelle Notre-Dame de Haurt.

Il montre Marie avec Jésus mourant sur la croix.

Une douleur commune représentée est la Pieta (italien : Pietà ), une représentation de la Sainte Vierge avec le corps de son fils décédé sur ses genoux.
