Les chutes Takakkaw dans le parc national Yoho sont spectaculaires et valent vraiment le détour. La chute d'eau est visible depuis la route de la vallée Yoho (pas toujours ouverte !) et surtout l'"eau qui jaillit" sur une plateforme naturelle la rend impressionnante. Hauteur totale : 384 mètres. Plus grande chute libre d'eau : 254 mètres. (Chiffres wikipedia 2012.) Les chutes Takakkaw sont le numéro deux de l'Ouest canadien en termes de hauteur.
Les chutes Takakkaw ont été présentées dans le film "Last of the Dogmen" (1995, écrit et réalisé par Tab Murphy).
