Friedrichshafen nest pas seulement une des plus grandes villes des bords du lac de Constance, elle fut aussi lune des plus marquantes. Cest là en effet que le comte Ferdinand von Zeppelin construisit ses plus grands aérostats. En 1996, 96 ans après le lancement du premier zeppelin, un musée fut ouvert dans la Seestrasse.
