Le quartier résidentiel Buchenhofen de Wuppertal est l'un des sept quartiers du district d'Elberfeld-Ouest.
Le quartier résidentiel de 0,88 km², traversé par la Wupper, est faiblement peuplé, avec le village de Buchenhofen et le hameau de In der Rutenbeck. Il est en grande partie occupé par la station d'épuration communale Buchenhofen, exploitée par l'association Wupperverband. De plus, de l'autre côté de la Wupper se trouve la station d'épuration Rutenbeck de Bayer HealthCare et à l'embouchure du ruisseau Rutenbeck, la ferme éducative Rutenbeck, une institution d'éducation expérimentale de la ville de Wuppertal. À côté de la ferme éducative se trouve le hameau de Rutenbeck, bien conservé.
