L'hôtel de ville de Soest, utilisé encore aujourd'hui par le conseil municipal et l'administration de la ville, fait partie des rares bâtiments baroques représentatifs parmi les nombreux édifices historiques de la ville de Soest. L'aile baroque symétrique, jugée particulièrement belle par les observateurs, avec son porche à neuf arches, constitue la partie ouest d'un complexe à quatre ailes, dont les bâtiments individuels ont été construits à différentes époques.
